When God Was a Gasúr
You are warmly invited to Mags’ Place for an exhibition by local artist Sinéad Burke, featuring her paintings and film footage of Ballycastle, Co. Mayo in 1960.

Recently exhibited at Galway City Library and in Oranmore, Galway, *When God Was a Gasúr* is a compelling collection of paintings by contemporary Irish artist Sinéad Burke. Following its positive reception, the exhibition returns to the artist’s birthplace and will be hosted by Mags’ Place Cafe, with the opening taking place on Saturday, 24 October 2026, at 7.30 p.m. with the film screening at 8 p.m.

Many thanks for all your support over the past 2 years, especially to all our loyal customers. It was much appreciated.
As our lease comes to end, we regret to let you know that Sunday November 1st will be our last day in operation.
In the interim, we will be open as usual on Friday and Saturday 10 - 3 and Sunday 10:30 -3.
We look forward to continuing to serve you over the coming weekends.
