Kavanaghs of Ballon Traditional Irish Pub on Main Street Ballon, Co. Carlow. Contact Tommy on 0852690992. We cater for parties/events. The building was erected c. 1850.

Situated at the main cross in the village the pub is owned by Paul & Catherine Kavanagh. Paul’s grandfather Tom married May Morris whose family originally owned the premises. At that time it was the small corner shop trading as a pub, drapery and small groceries. In c. 1985 the stores and bottling room were demolished and the new lounge area was added. The Bull Tree Bar name came about in recent years & Kavanaghs of Ballon is currently managed by Tommy & Tos, (updated 2025).
