Celebrating 50 years of Irish Guide Dogs. A special charity fundraiser performed by the European Doctors Orchestra.

On Sunday, June 28th 2026 at 3pm, the European Doctors Orchestra performs at City Hall Cork in a special fundraising concert in aid of the 50th Anniversary of Irish Guide Dogs.

Led by conductor Neil Thomson, with acclaimed Irish violinist Mairéad Hickey as soloist, the programme features three orchestral masterpieces:
Wagner – Einzug der Götter in Walhall (Das Rheingold)
Sibelius – Violin Concerto in D minor
Stravinsky – The Rite of Spring
From Wagner’s grandeur to Sibelius’ lyrical brilliance and Stravinsky’s powerful, rhythmically driven score, this promises to be a thrilling afternoon of world-class music in support of a wonderful cause.
