After serving the people of Balla and surrounding areas for almost 70 years,it is with a heavy heart, that today we announce the TEMPORARY closure of THE OLDE WOODS BAR. Following the recent effects of covid, recent severe storm damage and changes to the bar trade we have taken this extremely difficult decision as we explore other avenues of our lives.
Since 1955, The Dempsey’s have served the people of Balla, Mayo and beyond and are very proud of all the wonderful occasions we enjoyed with our many customers and friends. we wish to thank each and every person who came through our doors and will be forever grateful.
A special thanks to all the staff who have worked with us throughout this time, we always considered you family.
To our neighbours and fellow publicans, thank you for your kindness and cooperation and we wish you well in the future.
We look forward to further serving our community and feel proud of the contribution that we have made to the social, sporting, economic and cultural fabric of the place that we love, that is Balla❤️.
We appreciate your support and understanding and look forward to opening our doors sometime again in the not too distant future.
