They both live in Dublin and came to The La-La because they wanted to try our Seafood Chowder.
They tasted it, looked at us and said it was the best chowder they had tried.
That made us smile.
Then they stayed for our dish of the day, the Smash Burger, and loved that too.
But the nicest part wasn’t really the food.
It was sitting down for a moment, talking to them, hearing a little about their lives and watching them enjoy being here.
They were so kind, appreciative and warm. The kind of people who make you remember why hospitality is about much more than serving food.
It is about meeting people.
Sharing a table.
Learning something about each other.
And sometimes, making a small connection with someone who came from the other side of the world.
They told us they will come back.
We really hope they do.
