Cork has Jazz Weekend. Ardfield has the Long Weekend. 🎺🍂

We’ve a big October Bank Holiday lined up at The Mountain House — live jazz, Sunday lunch, an album launch and something a little different in the restaurant on Monday.

🎺 Saturday 24th — D**o Red, an acclaimed Italian jazz band who’ve previously headlined Whelan’s in Dublin, live at The Mountain House.

🎷 Sunday 25th — Donal O’Sullivan & Band playing jazz during Sunday lunch service.

🎶 Sunday evening — Alan Tobin launches his new album with us on the Mountain.

🎃 Bank Holiday Monday 26th — The Pumpkin Feast. Five pumpkin-themed courses in the restaurant for €60pp.

And we might not be finished with the weekend just yet… 👀

The Ardfield Long Weekend.

See ye on the Mountain.

🇮🇪 **𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐯 𝐈𝐒𝐑𝐀𝐄𝐋 — 𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄** 🇵🇸

We don’t believe this game should be going ahead.

At the same time, the Irish players have been put in an incredibly difficult position. They’re representing their country in a fixture they didn’t choose, and tonight we’ll be supporting them while trying to turn the occasion into something positive.

**𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝 (𝐏𝐂𝐑𝐅).**

However much or little that may be, **100% of our takings during the game will go directly to PCRF**, supporting Palestinian children in need of medical and humanitarian care.

So if you’re planning on watching the match tonight, come watch it with us. Hopefully together we can raise something worthwhile from a game we firmly believe should never have been allowed to go ahead.

𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐁𝐀𝐑 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐔 𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍 🍂

We’re very excited about this one.
Our new bar menu is here — made for cosy evenings, a few pints and really good food without having to book in for dinner.
There’s soup & a toastie for something simple, Caesar salad, our 8oz Angus burger with chips, and fresh pasta made in-house.

Most of what we serve comes from right here in West Cork, with the menu changing depending on what’s seasonal and available. Bar Menu is served from 5pm Thursday and Friday and from 2pm on a Saturday.

And while we’re at it, we’ve included our restaurant, Sunday lunch and kids menus too — swipe through to see what we’re serving at the at the moment.

See ye at the Mountain.

A little look back at our recent pop-up at The Mountain House with Nell Mc Carthy

The night was started with an Apagaragus dish with Wild Garlic, Red Lentil Veloutè, Puffed Rice and Truffle Cais na Tir Custard.

It was finished with a stunning Rhubarb Financier Tart, Rhubarb Compote, Meadowsweet Custard, Oat Crumble, Gooseberry, Lemon Verbana.

That was the start and finish of the five courses which were served on the night.

The pairing cocktail served to begin was Clonakilty Distillery
Sloe gin paired with
Cherry Soda. The night was finished with KILLAHORA ORCHARDS Pomo, a honey and pineapple cordial and Pineapple Soda.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us.

Our next pop-up is this Tuesday the 30th of June with Eoghan O Flynn there are still a few tickets available if you'd like to come along. We'd love to see you there.

🍔 Father’s Day at The Mountain House 🍺
This Sunday, we’re doing things a little differently for Father’s Day.
