Some good weather on the way for the weekend after a couple of poor weeks . Just a word of caution that the water temperature at Lockes Beach this morning was down to 12.4c ..so please don’t take chances and know your limits . We had it up as far as 14.8c in the last warm spell a couple of weeks ago . Also , there is a swimming website that is giving purported water temperatures up as far as nearly 18c in Fenit .
I don’t know where they get there info from but it is misleading , so don’t base your swim on it . I use a calibrated thermometer and take the temp just off Lockes Beach . It would be common to see a 1c variation between the Beach and The Bathing Slip .
