Update

We are continuing to monitor the situation in Castle Barna and following the guidelines from the HSE, we wish to advise that the Bar and Restaurant is now CLOSED until 29th March.

People are welcome to play golf provided they follow the guidelines set out by the GUI and LGUI.

Dear Customers
In the interest of public wellbeing we have implemented some policies to limit the potential spread of COVID-19 among members and visitors. We endeavour to keep the course open to the best of our abilities.
We encourage you to avail of our hand washing and sanitization facilities, and also adhere to the HSE directive on Social Distance.
We would like to thank you all for your continued custom and support.
Our restaurant is closed until further notice.

On the Course
• All Flag Poles to be remain in their hole all times. Not to be removed.
• All Bunkers will be out of play until further notice.
• Golf buggies should be driven by the same person for the full round, in line with HSE Guidelines on Social distancing
• For those hiring buggies, please clean exposed surfaces with anti-bacterial wipes for next user.
• One person in each group should mark and sign all cards. Signatures should be witnessed by each person in the group at the end of the round.
• The card marker should record the scores on the computer and again wipe with anti – bacterial wipes for next user.

We would ask all members to work with us on implementing these important changes in the interest of public well-being, as these measures reduce interaction thus prevent the spread of this virus.

Castle Barna Junior Club - CONVID-19 Update.

So with the announcement from Taoiseach today , and Official guidance from GUI/ Golfing Ireland.

We are going to postpone Junior Golf Lessons till March 29th , and we will review and take further guidance from then.

These restrictions DO NOT PREVENT Club competitions or Casual games of golf.

Our Junior Lessons do fall under Groups having close and prolonged contact, which should be avoided .

Health and Safety of Our Juniors is the most important factor , so following the guidance we are postponing Junior Golf lessons till March 29th and will be reviewed again.

Super turn out for Junior Lessons this morning . Nearly 50 kids turned out this morning . A & B panels were put through their paces with Pro Brian McCormack. Our Academy for 4-7 year olds were raring to go after the winter break. Our C&D panels did so well also , plenty of competitions and loads of fun had by all.

Lessons again next week, Keep practicing

Great turn out from our Junior golfers this morning . Our A & B panels had great sessions with pro Brian McCormack.

Hopefully weather will pick up and all Junior lessons will resume next Saturday.

This weeks competition is a Singles Stableford, please note the last tee-time on Sunday is 9.38am due to Winter League final taking place.
