Through the Eyes of Adi
Growing up in a small village in Bali, Adi developed a deep connection with nature and a passion for sustainability, using local ingredients to shape his approach to mixology. Inspired by Ubud’s meaning of “Ubad,” or medicine, and the medicinal plants of Campuhan, he draws from the ancient Balinese knowledge of Lontar Taru Pramana and Ubud’s cultural heritage. As a botanist, Adi explores the stories and healing qualities of plants, thoughtfully translating their flowers, leaves, fruits, bark, roots, and wood into meaningful creations at Ambar.
