The air around Pontianak has been a real concern lately.

According to IQAir data cited by WALHI Kalbar, the AQI in Pontianak reached around 1,000 to 2,000 AQI US on 15 September. As the air quality has been becoming more concerning, we knew we wanted to do a little more for everyone spending time with us. So, we’ve added air purifiers to our spaces. Just a small step from us to make your time at Kopi Peng a little more comfortable.

Don’t forget to take a little extra care of yourself, and we’re hoping the haze clears soon and things get better for everyone🤍

On 8 September, our team had the chance to visit a karhutla affected area in North Pontianak together with Rumah Zakat.

During the visit, we had the chance to share some food and drinking water with the volunteers who were still working there. It may have been a small gesture, but we hope it could help in some way for those who continue to be there.

To everyone working in the area, and everyone affected by the haze, please take care and stay healthy. We hope the situation gets better soon🤍
