The long sandy beach around gili trawangan offers perfect conditions for snorkeling. At low tide, however, you sometimes have to walk up to 50 m out to the water. Sometimes it can get a bit rocky. In the east of the island one finds a multiplicity at leisure offers, accordingly is here also more loose than at other parts of the beach.
