Our Story
The establishment of Bakmi Prahoo started with my love for food. My name is Agus Darmawan, the owner of Bakmi Prahoo. Food has given me extreme joy in my life that I thought to myself that it would be a great idea to open a restaurant in my home town Jakarta.
That thought sit with me for a few years until I accidentally found a great Thai noodle dish in Melbourne, I loved it so much that it inspired me to take action. I decided that I had to share this amazing dish to everyone. I then quickly flew to Bangkok, Thailand and spent weeks to taste the best noodle dishes that Thailand had to offer.
After eating noodles for a few weeks, I found and settled on one that I hoped that you guys might love. I present to you Bakmi Prahoo, truly authentic Thai Beef Noodle and I hope you guys will love this dish. We use Thai imported ingredients to protect the authenticity of the dish and we don’t use msg. The broth gets its marvelous taste from hours of slow cooking which also helps to make our beef soft and succulent.
