More than sixty years ago, craftsmen built a dragon measuring over 26 metres for the Cap Go Meh procession through Glodok and Kali Besar. The parade never took place, but the dragon survived. Today it hangs inside Babah Koffie, allowing visitors to encounter one of Jakarta's rarest surviving Peranakan artefacts exactly where stories continue to be shared over coffee and meals.
