Yoshua Perwirana was born in Bogor in 19 March
1991. Since his very early childhood, he
showed his interests in music. His first instrument that he learned was drums.
At the age of five, he started to play drums only by listening from a tape. No
one taught him before but he was able to play exactly like what was being
played on the tape. Seeing the talent, his parents hired a drum teacher to
teach him. He learned drums for about eight years until he finally fell in love
with guitar.
He
learned basic techniques and basic chords from his father, but then he
developed his skills on his own. In his high school, he became the lead
guitarist for the band. This band joined many competitions such as Indomie
Jingle Dare and some high school band competitions. The band won the third
place in Indomie Jingle Dare and he was chosen as the best guitarist in SMAK1
Penabur Cup.
He
loves music compositions. This led him to write many songs. He already wrote
about more than 50 songs. He wrote the jingle for the competition for Indomie
Jingle Dare. He also was in the top ten in the national of Honda Beat Jingle
competition. He has performed in several places such as Hotel Borobudur, Hotel
Mulia, Café Batavia, Planet Hollywood, Pluit Mall, Fx Music, and some other
places. He played for a wedding ceremonial as well.
