Fingertalk is both a café and a workshop, started with a hope to bring hearing people and deaf community together by creating a cozy and relaxing place.

Fingertalk is a cafe, car wash and workshop located in Depok and South Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia, that employs deaf youths around the area. Fingertalk was started with a hope to bring hearing people and deaf community together by creating a cozy and relaxing space, where everyone can spend a good time as well as enjoying delicious food and great company of each other. You could also visit our F

ingertalk shop where we sell crafts and accessories hand-made by our deaf crew, youths and elderlies, at the workshop next door. The shop and workshop are located next to our café. In September 2016, we have expanded our service to Cinere, Depok area. In this outlet, we have car wash and also a cafe entirely run by Deaf crew.

Fingertalk adalah sebuah cafe di Tangerang Selatan, Banten, Indonesia di mana pegawai dan staffnya ada para pemuda-pemudi tuna rungu di sekitar. Fingertalk mempunyai misi untuk menjadi wadah bertemunya komunitas tuna rungu dan orang-orang yang mendengar (hearing), di mana keduanya dapat menikmati makanan yang lezat dan suasana yang nyaman. Toko kami, Fingershop, menyediakan barang-barang kerajinan tangan dan aksesoris buatan para kru tuna rungu kami. Anda dapat mengunjungi dan melihat workshop kerajinan tangan yang terletak di sebelah cafe kami.

Guess what? Fingertalk is seven years old! 🥰 Time sure flies!

We want to thank everyone for their support, love, and guidance over these past seven years. Thank you to all the grassroots communities, organizations, disability scholars, and activists for giving us precious opportunities to work and learn from you!

Also, to all of you, thank you for being part of our family and our journey to spread the message of inclusion by creating more and more accessible job opportunities across the country!

Masih dalam rangka Hari Disabilitas Internasional, tim Fingertalk kemarin berkunjung ke .sakinahfoundation Bambu Apus, Pamulang untuk menyerahkan donasi untuk membantu program pembangunan kelas SMA As Sakinah. As Sakinah Foundation adalah sebuah organisasi yang bergerak di bidang pendidikan, terutama pendidikan bagi anak-anak yatim dan dhuafa.

Semoga donasinya bisa bermanfaat untuk membantu pembangunan kelas di .sakinahfoundation ☺️

Di hari yang spesial ini, kami segenap kru dan tim Fingertalk, ini mengucapkan banyak terima kasih kepada teman-teman, guru dan orang-orang baik yang telah mendukung Fingertalk hingga hari ini. Terima kasih juga kami ucapkan kepada teman-teman disabilitas yang inspiratif dan hebat yang kami temui sejak kami memulai Fingertalk di tahun 2015.

Kami sampaikan rasa terima kasih kami lewat isyarat lagu Hiroaki Kato san yang berjudul "Terima Kasih". Kami juga bersyukur dapat bertemu dan berinteraksi dengan beliau di acara Japan Day 2021 di .sakinahfoundation . Benar-benar pengalaman yang nggak bisa kami lupakan.

Happy International Day of Persons with Disabilities!

On this special day, the entire Fingertalk crew and teammembers, would like to say a big thank you to friends, teachers and good people who have supported Fingertalk until today. We also would like to appreciate all of the inspiring and wonderful friends with disabilities whom we have met since we started Fingertalk in 2015.

We expressed our gratitude through Hiroaki Kato san's song "Terima Kasih". We are also grateful to have met and interacted with Kato san at the Japan Day 2021 event in As Sakinah Foundation. It was a very memorable moment for us!

Hopefully this International Day of Persons with Disabilities can be a reminder for all of us to continue to spread the spirit of inclusion. Fighting!

Selamat pagi semua! Ohayou gozaimasu!! ☺️☺️

Hari Senin, 22 November, tim ikut berpartisipasi di acara “Japan Day” di As Sakinah Foundation, Pamulang, Tangerang Selatan.
Di acara ini, Fingertalk ikut serta dalam stamp rally dan menyajikan yakisoba pan yang bisa dinikmati jika berhasil menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan di booth. Nah, booth kami juga dikunjungi oleh Hiroaki Kato san yang menjadi guest star acara Japan Day, waahhh seru banget!

Hiro san ikut menjawab pertanyaan dan mendapatkan stamp lho!
Wahh, terima kasih Hiro san!! Tim Fingertalk senang banget bisa ketemu dan berisyarat bareng!

Alhamdulillah, today marked our 6th anniversary!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🎂🎂🎂🎂

These six years, we have been working together with the Deaf community, and other communities of people with disabilities, from the urban to rural areas of Indonesia. As we have met amazing people and listened to inspiring stories, we’ve continued to be humbled by the experience. 🥰

Thank you to our crew members, mentors, friends, and family! We thank all of your powerful support, especially during this past year! We could not have done it without you guys!

Selamat Hari Perempuan Internasional! 👩🏽🧕👱🏼‍♀️👩🏽‍🎤👩🏼‍🦳Happy International Women’s Day to all amazing women out there!

To celebrate, we want to dedicate this post to share the story of Ifah and Ria, two Deaf super girls in our team! 🥳🥳🥳

Ifah and Ria were born deaf and into a hearing family. They finished elementary education in Elementary Special School (SDLB) in their region 🏫 Unfortunately due to financial difficulties they were not able to continue studying further. Therefore, when the opportunity to work came up, they seized it with such an eagerness to learn! 💪🏻💪🏻🔥🔥

As the breadwinner of their family, they have been working in Fingertalk since 2017 and never cease to amaze us! Both are helping out in our cafe ☕️ car wash 🚗 and bakery 🥯

Ria has a Deaf younger brother who could not continue his study at school due to the financial challenge the pandemic has brought to her family. Ria’s dream is “to help my parents and hopefully be able to put my brother back to school” ..which we at Fingertalk continues to support ❤️

Selamat Hari Perempuan Internasional untuk semua perempuan hebat di luar sana! Terima kasih juga untuk semua perempuan penyandang disabilitas yang selalu menginspirasi kami dengan cerita dan ketangguhannya! Sukses selalu dan terus semangat!! 💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻🔥🔥
