FROM SHIN MURA TO YAKIMURA

Starting 1 June, we take the first step in our evolution.

Over the past two years, we’ve been privileged to serve the beloved A5 Miyazaki Wagyu. But as it became increasingly commonplace, we felt it was time to seek a new icon. Something with deeper roots and a richer story.

So we’ve brought in the OG of Japanese Wagyu: Ōmi Wagyu, with over 400 years of heritage.

As we look ahead, we want to become more than a special occasion restaurant.

We want to be your Tuesday night dinner.
Your after-work catch-up spot.
Your answer to, “Where shall we eat tonight?”

As part of this transition:

We know things are different now.

People still want to eat out and enjoy themselves, but most are more careful with spending these days. Truthfully, even we feel it ourselves.

So we started asking: “What if we created something people could actually come back to more often?”

Not once every few months.
Not only for birthdays or celebrations.
But casually. Spontaneously. After work. Late at night. Anytime.

So our answer wasn’t to shrink the vision.
It was to widen the table.

As we continue evolving, small changes will slowly happen to our menu over time. New ideas. New skewers. New late-night favourites.

For the past 2 years, Shin Mura has been centred around one thing — serving the best A5 Miyazaki Wagyu we could.

And honestly, it’s been amazing.

We’ve met so many people through this little space.
Birthday dinners and family meals.
Catch-ups after work and random supper plans.
First dates that became anniversaries.

Over time, we realised something.

People weren’t just coming for the wagyu.
They came because they liked being here.

The conversations. The atmosphere.
