Koffie Jazz is back at Roemah Koffie Gunawarman, with Dua Empat taking the stage at Friday, 11 September 2026 from 7.00 to 9.30 PM.

Day 1 and 2 at IdeaFest 2026 have been such a good time. We loved the atmosphere all around, the energy, the conversations, the people who stopped by our booth just to talk about coffee.

The IdeaTalks session with our CEO, Felix Tj, was one of the highlights for us. Talking about Indonesian coffee and what it means to rehumanize it felt like exactly the kind of conversation this festival was made for.

At our booth, guests can discover our coffees through sampling, put their senses to the test with our aroma guessing game, or simply take a moment to pause, recharge, and enjoy a cup.

This year’s theme is “ReHumanize,” and honestly it’s something we’ve always believed in. Coffee that stays rooted in culture and brewed by hand. Our CEO, Felix Tj, is joining a talkshow on 4 September called “Rooted in Culture, Brewed by Hand: Rehumanizing Coffee,” alongside moderator Iwet Ramadhan.

Expect smooth grooves, warm vocals, and a live set made for easing into the weekend at your own pace.

A look back at our time at Mereren Fest.

Throughout Mereren Fest, Roemah Koffie became part of the rhythm of Pererenan.

With Roemah Koffie Van standing in front of Paparempa, we poured coffee into slow mornings, passing afternoons, and the many moments in between. A little caffeine for those who needed it. A little pause for those who chose to stay.

*Mereren* means to stop for a while.

We found that meaning in every cup shared, every conversation around the table, and every new flavour discovered.

Throughout the festivities, we gathered around coffee to explore its many nuances. From learning the language of flavour through real fruits, to tasting and discovering the distinct character of the coffees in our collection, each moment became an invitation to look a little closer, taste a little slower, and appreciate what lies within every cup.

And beyond coffee, there was Pererenan itself.

Its art. Its culture. Its people.

Kites rising above the coast. Colours filling the sky. Traditions carried forward in a place that knows how to slow down without ever standing still.

It was a pleasure to be part of Mereren Fest, sharing a little caffeine with everyone who came to pause, wander, gather, and experience Pererenan.

Certain scents have a way of staying with us.

Sometimes it is the smell of freshly brewed coffee in the morning. Sometimes it is a familiar perfume that instantly brings back a person, a place, or a memory you thought you had forgotten.

That is because scent is deeply personal. It becomes part of how we remember moments and even how we express ourselves.

Through this Perfume Making Workshop with LAWASAN, you’ll discover the fundamentals of perfume making, from understanding fragrance ingredients and perfume structure to learning how different notes come together in perfect harmony. Explore more than 30 carefully curated scent notes and create a fragrance that feels uniquely yours.

No experience is needed. All materials and professional tools will be prepared for you, and your session comes with a drink from Roemah Koffie. At the end of the workshop, you will bring home your very own 30 mL Eau de Parfum.

Join us on Saturday, 31 October 2026, from 2 PM onwards at Roemah Koffie, Gunawarman, South Jakarta. The experience is available for IDR 275K per person.

Coffee can have a longer journey than we often think. From the farm, to the roastery, to the cup, and even beyond it.

From August 13 to 17, 2026, Roemah Koffie joined Jia CURATED at Pengembak Beach, Sanur, Bali, an immersive celebration of craft, design, and culture that brings together creative makers and ideas from across Indonesia.

Together with Bell Living Lab, we explored another part of the coffee journey.

While Roemah Koffie works with coffee from its origins and brings it to the cup, Bell Living Lab looks at what happens after that. By transforming coffee waste into new materials and products, they create another stream for coffee to continue beyond brewing.

It’s a simple but interesting shift in perspective. What we usually see as waste can become a useful material, giving coffee another purpose and making the overall journey more sustainable.

For us, this is one way we celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Day. By supporting Indonesian creativity, exploring new possibilities, and collaborating with people who are finding better ways to make use of what we already have.

We also loved seeing how people at JIA CURATED connected with our coffees, from tasting the beans to asking about our packaging and the details behind it.

And this is only the beginning.
