A perfect pairing of process and cultivar from the masters at CGLE.

Finding the perfect conditions for the Sudan Rume was no easy task, with the variety being notoriously low yielding and difficult to cultivate. After multiple tests by Café Granja La Esperanza, Las Margaritas farm was chosen.

With ideal soil and altitude the plants flourished in their carefully selected home. Picking occurs only at the peak of harvest to ensure enough perfect cherries for the carefully monitored natural process, culminating in a stunning final profile.

Yemen is a country that has exported coffee globally since the 16th century. It is also unfortunate to have become one of the largest humanitarian crisis in the world.

High elevated areas in Yemen are known for being the first place to cultivate coffee after it was brought to the region in the 15th Century by Sufi Monks. From here, it grew with coffee being exported it the 16th Century from the port of Al-Makha which gave birth to the name of the Mocha drink known around the world today.

Fakta unik dari CGLE 17
Tahun 2011 dilakukan penilitian hybrid Gesha x Caturra dan 3 tahun kemudian pada tahun 2014 mendapatkan hasil yang kurang stabil, kemudian dari hasil panenan pertama itu disilangkan kembali dengan Gesha Cerro Azul (Patosi) pada tahun 2017.
Baru pada tahun ini persilangan tersebut menghasilkan panen yang diharapkan, dengan tetap membawa karakter Caturra ( mutasi Bourbon ) yang berkarakter body dan juga sweetnes yang baik namun tetap mempertahankan karakter rasa Gesha.
