The Team

Jeff & Luci met in 2008 on a job a the local Starbucks in Surabaya. Jeff has been working there as a senior barista at the establishment where he spent almost 5 years of brewing coffee. While Luci just returned to Indonesia after 2 years of study in Diploma in Hospitality Management at Taylors’ College, Kuala Lumpur. Both Jeff & Luci shared a passion in coffee

and desire to have a place of their own. In mid 2009, Luci left Starbucks, with persue of opening her own cafe. Jeff joined her a couple of months later with all the preparations of pre-opening of their Kedai Kopi Surabaya in November 2009. Through ups and downs and hardship of day to day operations, Kedai Kopi Surabaya grew providing coffee, small bites and warm friendships to their loyal supporters over the years. 3 years of crafting exploring further on their coffee journey, it was time for the young couple to move forward and set their footstep. Kafein Bali and Surabaya were their new project since the beginning of 2012. There is one mission only on their mind, to share the their love of coffee with more people through each cup of coffee they serve.
