🌙 Ramadan at Mezna! 🍽️

At Mezna, we celebrate special occasions with delicious, heartwarming meals. Today, in honor of Ramadan, we’ve prepared a selection of traditional dishes, including:

🥙 Lebanese shawarma
🍛 Chicken tagine with dates
🥩 Iskender kebab
🥗 Falafel plate

Plus, our carefully chosen side dishes like Lebanese lentil soup, fattoush, and basbousa make the meal even more special. For our younger guests, we also served gyros and falafel plates.

We believe in reducing food waste and fostering a sense of community. That’s why we’ve introduced our Sharing Table – a place where students can place any untouched fruit, snacks, or extra portions they don’t need. Instead of going to waste, these items are available for others to enjoy!

FOOD WASTE COLLECTION

One of Mezna’s main focuses is to educate on being conscious about sustainability, food waste collection, and the impact of our choices regarding eating habits.

We introduced a new way of collecting food waste: students are scraping the leftover food scraps of their trays and plates that they are sure they won’t eat. These bins represent the importance of our choices regarding food portions - having seconds is always better than scraping leftovers we won’t eat!

Ha a téli álmot alvó macik ezen a napon kibújnak a barlangjukból és meglátják az árnyékukat, azaz ezen a napon kisüt a nap, visszabújnak, mert még sokáig tart a tél. Ha viszont borús idő van, akkor kint maradnak, mert úgy érzik, hamarosan vége lesz a télnek ❄️😴
