Few things can be nicer than starting your day with an email saying you've been featured in The Huffington Post! Congrats Budapest For Rent! ;)
"...I made friends with fellow travelers, and we all had that warm, smug feeling that we were sampling a local slice-of-life that is not available to most tourists... Suzie's aunt Mariann can host guests in apartments she designed herself, and she won a Superhost Award on Airbnb because she cares for her guests like your own aunt (I mean your cool aunt who you actually like)... Suzie and her family personify human contact at its best, and they have a gift for showing Hungary's slice-of-life to others. Her whole family exudes warmth and fun -- the kind of friends you want to hang out with when you arrive in a new country. " - Thank you David Code!

We feel truly honoured to be mentioned in a Saveur article! :) "Emphasizing Hungarian ingredients like poppy seed is always Suzie’s priority; she just doesn’t want them to be glimpsed through the same dusty lens. So she dreams up ever-changing, seasonal menus in tandem with her mother that authentically reflect the everyday dishes relished in Hungarian kitchens."

The dinner started with 11 strangers, coming individually from 6 different countries... and ended with 11 new friends leaving together. thank you for sharing this lovely picture! :)

You'd think this photo was taken after a night out after work with a group of friends, working colleagues possibly? Fact of the matter is that these people met for the first time at a cozy apartment, overlooks the Danube in Budapest, having a homey dinner together. It was hosted by none other than a lovely Hungarian family of Suzie Goldbach. The dinner was traditionally prepared with seasonal selected excellence & family secret specialities, it couldn't possibly have gone without lots of laughs (and even lot more drinks as well)! For me, it was like eating at home away from home. I personally feel privileged to have such experience and is the one I would certainly crave for until we sit on that same dining table again.

"When I say it was one of my best experiences in a 6 week solo adventure that took me through 7 different countries, that should carry some weight...This was my strange little travel family of the evening. I relaxed, and laughed, and walked out feeling that warm, happy laziness that settles in after a big family meal.” - We feel really honoured for all these kind words, thank you Joanna Lose the Map
