Hidden in the courtyard of Calebotta is a piece of Trogir’s history dating back centuries. 🕵️

The inscription reads:
“Dattero piantato nel 1730, principio fruttare nel 1820.”

A date palm was planted here in 1730 and began bearing fruit in 1820, 90 years later. 🌴

Today, the inscription remains as a reminder of the generations that lived, worked and built their lives within the old streets of Trogir.

Because places like Calebotta are not just about what you see today. They carry stories that were here long before us.
