Dalmatian cuisine is rooted in the Adriatic. Stari Grad has been a fishing town for 2,400 years. In the New Vala Menu 2026 we gave a special attention to the Seafood dishes, cooked the traditional Dalmatian way:

Fresh octopus, squid, sea bass, tuna, mussels, shrimp. 🐟🦞🦐 Grilled over open fire 🔥. Served with Swiss chard, potatoes, and olive oil.

Nine thin crust wood-fired pizzas on Vala menu 🍕

Croatia and Italy are neighbours, and pizza is an essential part of Croatian culture.

Vala brings real Italian pizza to Stari Grad. Thin crust, baked in a wood-fired stone oven. Crispy crust, melted cheese, generous toppings — and nine pizzas on the menu:

🍕Margherita — the classic.
🍕Capricciosa with ham, mushrooms and olives.
🍕Slavonian — tomato sauce, mozzarella, kulen and chilli, a nod to Croatian tradition.
🍕Cinque Formaggi for cheese lovers — five cheeses on a creamy white base.
🍕Vala Pizza with prosciutto, gorgonzola, figs and walnuts.
🍕Black Pizza — charcoal dough, mozzarella, prosciutto, burrata and arugula.
🍕Shrimp Pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella and cherry tomatoes.
🍕Vesuvio with tomato sauce, mozzarella and ham.
🍕Pistachio & Mortadella with pistachio pesto, burrata and pistachios.
