World Tourism Day celebrates what travel awakens in us – curiosity, freedom, and the desire to discover.

To travel is to change the scenery, even if only for a while. To take a different road, notice things we might otherwise miss, hear another language, taste something unfamiliar, and let a place set the pace for a moment.

Some places make it especially easy to slow down and look around. Opatija is definitely one of them – shaped by the sea, its gardens, architecture and a long tradition of welcoming travellers. A place with many layers, where there is always something to notice, even when you think you already know it.
