Welcome to Pomena. 🌊

In this small seaside village on the island of Mljet, life moves a little slower. The sea is always close, the sunsets are unforgettable, and every corner has its own story.

Just a few minutes from the entrance of Mljet National Park you will find our small family restaurant, Konoba Galija.

For more than four decades our family has welcomed travellers, sailors and friends who arrive in Pomena searching for the authentic flavours of the Adriatic. Fresh fish brought by local fishermen, carefully selected w**es from nearby vineyards, and traditional Dalmatian recipes prepared with patience and love.

Here dinner is never just a meal.
It begins with a story about the island, the sea and the people who live here… and it usually ends with a glass of local w**e, good conversation and the feeling that you’ve discovered a small hidden corner of Mljet.

We, the Konoba Galija family, are grateful for your trust throughout all these 4️⃣3️⃣years so far. We thank our amazing partners for the work we share. Thank you for every tear of joy, for the warm hugs at farewell, and for all the sunsets 🌅we have shared here with us — “your place to be special”.
