“Šporki makaruli” one of Dubrovnik’s most iconic traditional dishes, dating back to the days of old Dubrovnik families and hardworking locals who sought a simple yet rich and comforting meal after a long day. The name “sporki” means “dirty,” referring to the slow-cooked meat sauce that beautifully “stains” the pasta with deep, authentic flavors.
