Hi everyone, we would like to address some of the posts we're seeing being posted on social media.
First,
We owned, built and developed this property from raw land. As, some of you know, there is a cut in the reef, for boat passage, where hurricane Mitch took out a large chunk of the cliff. Camp Bay's community water was taken out. We fortunately were not owners then. Every "northern"that has blown through, since we were owners, took out another part of our property. We only lived there 4 years, but that cut in the reef, has consistently battered that cliff. We lost shared property with the Methodist Church, built in 1972.
New Years eve weekend, 2 yrs ago we lost the whole front skirting of our dock to a such northern. Anyone remember the "safety" ropes on the dock, watching the fireworks??
This land, with all of its complexities, needs to be preserved and protected! We had the vision, but we never had the capital to protect the land.
Ask yourself...
Is it better for immediate change, by man, to develop and protect the land. Or do you let nature continually erode the land?
Does the "seawall" also protect the Church?
The development in place assures that the land will be protected from further erosion.
This group, is providing many jobs to the east side as well as sponsoring numerous charitable events.
