Meatballs have been popular in Thailand for several decades, with their origins tracing back to Chinese communities that migrated to Thailand in the late 19th century. The Chinese introduced traditional Chinese-style meatballs, such as fish balls and pork balls, to the Thai culinary scene.

Over time, meatballs became an essential part of noodle dishes and were further developed to suit Thai preferences. This evolution was especially evident in the post-World War II era when affordable fast food became increasingly popular.

Today, Thai meatballs are a favorite snack enjoyed in various forms, such as grilled, fried, or added to different dishes. They have also g*ined recognition internationally and are now exported to many countries.
