England reached the last four in a dramatic 2–1 extra-time victory over Norway. Argentina also needed extra time, eventually beating Switzerland 3–1.

Now it’s Bellingham and Kane against Messi and the reigning world champions.

France arrive chasing a third consecutive World Cup final after Mbappé and Dembélé fired them past Morocco. Spain needed an 88th-minute winner from Mikel Merino to overcome Belgium and keep their dream alive.

Sunday morning serves up two quarter-finals, with semi-final places up for grabs.

First up, Norway v England. Norway are having a historic run, with Haaland and Ødegaard leading a team full of belief, while England are chasing their first World Cup in 60 years.

Then it’s Argentina v Switzerland. Messi and the reigning champions against a Swiss side in their first World Cup quarter-final since 1954 after that dramatic penalty shootout win over Colombia.
