Recent rain has given much needed respite for the fields in Santorini - last few years have been exceptionally dry and hot, endangering the local agriculture and the unique products of Santorini. If you visit Santorini at this time of year, you will be spoilt with green fields and colorful flowers! 🌺 🌼🌸 Take a moment to explore, and you might just find a fava field, it is filled with white and purple flowers, with first pods starting to mature in the lovely weather! And afterwards head to the nearest tavern to taste one of Santorini’s traditional dishes - fava dip, “married” with onions and capers. (Because there is never too much poetry when talking about Greek cuisine! 😉)
