A brilliant study in pop textures, historical weathering, and bold architectural contrast. A stark, white marble column twisted into a dramatic spiral acts as a surreal piece of contemporary sculpture right in the middle of our patio. Set against a backdrop of sun-bleached stucco and heavy, dark wood shutters, this courtyard view perfectly showcases our design ethos—taking the raw, physical heritage of early 20th-century Thassos and clashing it with sharp, modern sophistication.

Art is not just something you hang on a blank wall; it is something you hold in your hand over a slow meal. This immaculate table layout brings a pop-art sense of color, texture, and metallic flair directly to your dinner conversation in our secret garden hideaway.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who has the most creative boutique suite of them all? This corner perfectly captures our love for blending the rich heritage of the past with eccentric KARE Design accessories. From the warm terracotta floor tiles to the dramatic tufted headboard reflected in the glass, every piece tells a story of sophisticated, alternative luxury designed to inspire your stay in Thassos town.

An aerial bird’s-eye view of pure, symmetric, early 20th-century pop architecture. Standing tall with its iconic terracotta roof tiles and pristine grey brick façade, A for Art Design Hotel commands the heart of Limenas like a giant, historic art installation dropped into the lush Thassos landscape. Down in our secret courtyard garden, custom patio layouts and geometric brick patterns set the stage for unpretentious boutique luxury, perfectly positioned between the raw green mountains and the old port.

We do not believe in boring presentation, especially when it comes to the flavors of Thassos. This bowl is a masterclass in culinary texture, layering the rich, dark tones of hand-rolled dolmades over a stark white canvas of fresh Greek yogurt. It is clever, flavorful, and deeply rooted in the past while pushing the boundaries of modern boutique hotel dining.

Why leave art inside the gallery when it can hang out on the patio with you? Our golden athlete statue stands as a witty reminder that you are vacationing in a place rich with archaeological wonders, just steps from the ancient Agora. We took an iconic piece of Greek heritage and gave it a fresh, unpretentious luxury twist to greet you as you move between the secret garden and the crystalline waters of the pool.

They say do not play with your food, but they clearly never stayed at an alternative design hotel. Watching a flawless chocolate sphere melt under a steady stream of hot caramel is a mesmerizing performance piece. We built this hideaway to challenge the ordinary, blending the heritage of the past with quirky, modern aesthetics. Your table is booked for the exhibition.

A for Art Hotel

The laptop is out, technically. The work, however, appears to have already left the building.

This room doesn't do subtle — a deep red wall, a headboard that looks like it moonlights as a throne, and Gandhi watching over it all in sunglasses, clearly unbothered by anyone's inbox. Somewhere between sitting down and leaning back, the plan quietly changed from "get some emails done" to "get some rest done instead."

Bold walls. Zero rules. Art that talks back.

Book your room at A for Art Hotel and let the space rewrite your to-do list.
