Two days in Kythnos, done right.
Day one: a short hike up to Vryokastro, the ancient capital of the island, inhabited from the 12th century BC until the 7th century AD, sitting on a clifftop between two beaches like it has nothing to prove. Then down to Kolona for a swim and Apokrousi for the sunset. Yes, we know those are on Google, but some things make the list for a reason.
Day two: walk through the alleys of Dryopida. Stop at Katafyki cave, used as shelter by the islanders during the Ottoman and Frankish occupations, and again in World War II. After all that walking, you’ll need to cool down. The cave sits at a steady 17°C year round. Nature’s AC. End the day at Hartino Karavi.
Send this to your Kythnos travel partner and we’ll see you at Chartino Karavi. You can thank us there.
