Let me tell you a story…
Once upon a time, back in the 1960s, in the beautiful island of Ithaca, there lived Giannis and Rina. They had a little pastry shop in Stavros, where they lovingly made a special sweet called Rovani, the traditional sweet of Ithaca.
Made with just a few simple ingredients — rice, olive oil and honey — Rovani was more than just a dessert. It was a taste of home, family and tradition.
When I was a child, my grandmother taught me how to make her beloved sweet. I watched her, learned her secrets and, little by little, Rovani became a part of me.
And from that moment on… I fell in love with it. Rovani, a sweet taste of Ithaca, carrying a story from generation to generation..
