The Athenian House promises an amazing gastronomic experience, in an original Santorini cave house, with Athenian vintage decoration, on one the most breathtaking sunset spots on the Caldera. In 2024, after 8 very successful seasons, the restaurant continues its multi-awarded journey, with dishes created by world-acclaimed Greek chefs, inspired by local cuisine, where sun, salt, and Mediterranean

ingredients mingle into a combination of tastes and flavors. The menu is supremely complemented by exclusive cocktails and exquisite Greek wines, including the best labels of local and international varieties from insular, continental & northern Greece. The restaurant currently owns one of the largest vintage collections of Santorini wines, with rare bottles of assyrtiko, aidani or mavrotragano from the most renowned wineries on the island.

OENO P

The winery of Oeno P overlooking Kolumbo truly transcends the identity of Paris Sigalas. We are shown the little dome where it all started decades ago, in his father’s estate by the sea, where he performed his first wine making, long before the Sigalas Estate in Baxedes. The winery-residence itself reminds us of a mexican hacienda under the scorching sun. The round shaded table under the aged willowing armiriki steals our heart, as Paris mentions this is his favorite spot to read his book.

Paris guided us through the inspiration behind his assyrtiko Tria Ampelia, Pythari, Akoloumbo, his recent project Opsis and his new Vinsanto, once again captivating us with his pioneering spirit, relentless experimentation and profound passion for Santorini’s wines.
He shares that winemaking has now become something deeply existential for him, while expressing his concern over the rapidly declining yields of Santorini’s precious Assyrtiko vineyards.

The winery of Oeno P overlooking Kolumbo truly transcends the identity of Paris Sigalas. As we move through some of the warmest days of the summer, with this year’s harvest just around the corner, the Athenian House team visits renowned wineries across Santorini. Along with our oenologist Spyros Zoumboulis, we meet with the winemakers, taste both newly released and beautifully aged vintages, and carefully select the wines that will become our newest favorites.
From Pyrgos to Mesa Gonia, Monolithos, Vourvoulos, Kolumbos, Baxedes and all the way to Thirassia, every bottle tells the story of a place, its people, and another remarkable vintage waiting to be discovered.
