Kolymvari in September: the water is still 24°C barely a degree and a half off August but the air drops 3°C and the evenings actually cool down. You can eat outside without melting.

23 km west of Chania, and the front-row table is free again.

Not a supplier's bottle, not something we buy in the recipe came down through the family of the woman who runs this place, and it still gets made the way it always was.
You'll meet it at the end of the meal in Kolymvari, 23 km west of Chania. Small glass, no charge, no ceremony.
