Cretan Trahanas (Cretan frumenty) or “Hontros” as locals call it, was made of thick milled grain on the hand mill and milk.

It was one of the main ingredients used in Cretan cuisine and was called poor villager's meal, being a nutrient-rich food that villagers and farmers families used to survive the winter.

We revive this tradition with Trahanoto, our vision of how a Greek risotto would taste like.
Combined with traditional made smoked pork, topped with parmesan chips.
