The kitchen at Footsteps Eco Lodge is still standing, which means it’s time to drop our next cooking video! Today, Chef Famara is teaching us how to master a plant-based version of a regional classic: Yassa. As expected, Famara brought culinary brilliance and deep knowledge of local flavours, while I brought my usual skill set: asking silly questions, staring blankly at the stove, and asking "is it done yet?" Against all odds, this tangy, savoury dish turned out absolutely spectacular. 😃😃👇

Full disclosure: Famara brings years of culinary genius, flawless knife skills, and authentic flavour. I bring absolutely zero skills, do none of the cooking, and mostly stand around getting in his way. Somehow, the food still turned out incredible despite my presence.

I’ve officially downgraded from "lodge owner" to "parasite landlord." 🐛😳What I thought was a simple thorn prick after a Sunday beach walk a while back turned out to be a live mango worm living rent-free inside my foot!
