⭐️ I don’t know how they do it ⭐️

Still smiling after a busy Saturday Breakfast (121 guests today) 🥂

There were people everywhere - we had a nice full garden, it was such a lovely vibe ☀️

Time for us to get on with lunch now though. Round two!

❤️☀️🐾 Furry Friends 🐾☀️❤️

Just a few of the lovely Doggo’s we’ve had visit us over the last week 🐾❤️

This is a new experiment for us - we love dogs (the great galumphing Labrador is mine) but I’ve always been on the fence about having them at The Kiln. Guest opinion can be divided on the subject of dogs inside and I really, really hate upsetting people 🙁

So we thought that a good compromise would be for your Canine Companion to be able to enjoy the garden with you in this lovely weather ☀️

Of course Service Dogs are always welcome inside, and we will always have water and a treat for them (if they’re allowed)

Outside though, there’s plenty of shade, we’ve got water on tap, and I might see if we can source some Doggy Ice Cream as a special treat (if not, there’s always sausages) 😀😀

Can’t wait to meet them all 🥂

🥂 Is this a contender for the world’s biggest Victoria Sponge?? 🥂

We know that Chef likes to feed us all really, really well, but this one is truly on another level ❤️❤️

I do think that Chef may be ever so slightly regretting his decision to bake these though as he is nearly permanently tied to the mixer now 😂

I’d love to help him, but sadly my baking is nearly as dreadful as my gardening 😂

😂 Shenanigans at The Kiln 😂

In my infinite wisdom, I thought that combining a staff meeting with wine tasting was an excellent idea for a Friday night 🥂🥂

In hindsight, I see now that it was just a shortcut route to general mayhem 🤦‍♀️

We did manage to get choose our Provence Rosé for the summer though, and most members of The Team managed to make it to work on Saturday, so all was not lost 😂😂

I will know better for next time

☕️Frances is THE best Barista in the world ever ☕️

But he took a short break from making about a million coffees today and took pity on our poor planters, giving them a good and very overdue tidy up 🌸🌸

⭐️ A complete superstar indeed ⭐️

Advice as to what plants will be easy to keep and provide some lovely colour would be gratefully received (as my green fingers are pretty non-existent) 🤦‍♀️

🥰 It’s official… 🥰

This is THE best Vegan Roast ever 🥂🥂

Honestly, I’m not just saying it; all our guests who have tried it over the last couple of days agree ❤️❤️

Butternut squash, chestnuts, spinach, chestnut mushrooms, a little bit of cumin and whatever else Chef puts in there to make it taste shamazing, all wrapped up in perfectly crispy pastry & served with equally delicious roast potatoes, maple glazed parsnips & carrots, Brussels sprouts & vegan stuffing.

I know I’m rambling, but it really is that good it deserves a bit of accolade; as do the kitchen team who consistently put all this deliciousness together day after day. I don’t know how they do it, I’m just grateful they do! ❤️
