We unlocked the doors to Jack’s with big dreams, plenty of hope, and absolutely no idea what the next five years would bring.
What followed was so much more than coffee, breakfast, brunch, lunch and homemade cakes.
It’s been early mornings and busy weekends. First dates, catch-ups, celebrations, friendships, laughter and tears. We’ve watched babies grow up on babyccinos, welcomed familiar faces through our doors day after day and summer after summer, and seen Jack’s become part of so many routines and stories.
From the very beginning, all we ever wanted was to create somewhere that felt like home. Somewhere you’d feel comfortable walking in for a coffee, a chat, a slice of cake, or simply a familiar face.
As we celebrate 5 years of Jack’s, we’d love to hear your story.
Over the next week, you’ll find a memory board in our cosy corner. Whether it’s your favourite Jack’s memory, a special moment, a weekly ritual, or simply what Jack’s means to you, we’d love for you to add a little note.
And if you’re not on the island but would still like to be part of it, send us a message and we’ll happily add your words to the board for you.
Once it’s filled, it will find a special place on our wall — not as a celebration of us, but as a celebration of the people who helped make Jack’s what it is.
Five years of memories, friendships, routines, laughter, coffee dates, babyccinos, and moments both big and small.
Something for us all to look back on one day and remember just how special this little corner of Alderney has been.
