Did you know Grenada has a rather delicious claim to fame? 🍫🇬🇩

Cocoa has been part of island life here for generations - growing in the warm, tropical hills and eventually finding its way into chocolate, cocoa tea and plenty of Grenadian kitchens.

Up here in North Grenada, you don’t have to go very far to see where it all begins. 🌿

And yes… cocoa tea at breakfast overlooking the Caribbean Sea is every bit as lovely as it sounds. ☕🌴

Come and discover a little more of the real Grenada with us.

What will you find when you come up north? 🇬🇩🌴

Waterfalls, wild coastline, little islands, good food, rum, chocolate… and a rather different side of Grenada.

Come and have a look. ❤️

Some people measure recipes.

Queen Alicia measures by experience.

She’ll stir a pot, pause for a moment, taste it thoughtfully, then add what appears to be exactly the right amount of… something.

Nobody is entirely sure what.

Guests have tried asking.

The answers are always polite.

They are not always complete.

After many years of careful observation, we have reached one firm conclusion.

The secret ingredient probably isn’t in the pot at all.

It might just be Queen Alicia herself. ❤️

Friday night and something good is cooking… 👀🍴🇬🇩

A little look behind the scenes in the Petite Anse kitchen, where our chefs are busy turning fresh ingredients into something rather delicious. ❤️

The only question is… save me one, or save me two? 😋

Dinner is served from 6pm–9pm, and you don’t need to be staying with us to join us. Non-residents are very welcome. 🌴

We sometimes get asked whether there is enough to do in the north of Grenada.

It’s a reasonable question.

Then we start listing Bathway, Levera, Belmont Estate, River Antoine, hiking, turtle watching, Sandy Island…

And usually somewhere around that point we remember that quite a lot of our guests came here specifically because they didn’t want to do very much at all.

So yes, there’s plenty to do.

Doing absolutely none of it is also an option. 😂

Grenada is celebrating Carnival Tuesday… 🇬🇩❤️💛💚

And here at Petite Anse, we’re taking things at a slightly slower pace. 🌴🌊

Just the hammock, the sea breeze and the sound of the waves.

Happy Carnival Tuesday, everyone! 🇬🇩

Grenada has two speeds… 🥁🌴

Carnival.
Hammock.

Tonight, we recommend Carnival. 🇬🇩🎶

Happy Carnival Monday to everyone celebrating Spicemas! ❤️💛💚

From our rather quieter corner of Grenada, we hope you have a fantastic night. 🌴

There are many ways to love Grenada.

Sometimes it’s the music, the colour and the celebrations.

And sometimes it’s much quieter than that.

An empty beach early in the morning.
The sound of the sea at night.
A fishing boat heading home.
The smell of something good cooking.
A conversation that lasts longer than you expected.

Perhaps that’s one of the nicest things about this little island.

There’s room for both.

For the days filled with noise, laughter and celebration - and for the days when absolutely nothing needs to happen at all. ❤️🇬🇩

There’s something very easy and natural about Abigail’s way with guests.

She’s sweet, kind and always ready with a smile, but she’s also very good at looking after people. She notices when something is needed, takes the time to help and does it all without making a fuss.

It’s that combination of good service and genuine warmth that guests remember.

Because staying somewhere isn’t only about the room, the view or what’s on the dinner menu. It’s also about how people make you feel while you’re there.

We’re very glad Abigail is part of the Petite Anse team. ❤️
