Happpy Easter weekend everyone! We are open today until 13:00. Start the weekend right with a decent sarnie, we have the pulled beef and roast pork on too (pork will be ready from 11:00!)

Good Friday: OPEN until 13:00
Saturday 4th: OPEN as usual
Easter Sunday: CLOSED as usual (but The Cafe Next Door is open!)
Easter Monday: CLOSED!!

Unfortunately due to Northern Powergrid turning off all electrics to the YO10 postcode, we are going to have to be closed between 10am and "hopefully" 12.30 on Tuesday 5th August!!

This means we're going to cook in the morning as usual, but as soon as the power goes off we will be unable to cook, keep things warm and use the extraction unit. We will be on a "when it's gone it's gone" kinda deal.

We will however try to reopen when the electric comes back on but it's going to be very limited service unfortunately.

Sorry for the inconvenience, it's not great for any business, or anyone working from home this school holidays but it's completely out of our hands.

Easter opening hours 🐣

As a family run business sometimes it's a little hard taking some time off for rest. We've decided therefore to close on Good Friday (18th April) and Easter Monday (21st April) to recharge (and eat all of our Easter eggs!!). We will be open Saturday 19th though, and back to normal on Tuesday 22nd. Hope all of our customers have a crackin' Easter!🥚

Today we had a visit from a lovely couple and their adopted cute little pooch from Spain called Nellie 🐾

They asked if they could take a doggie breakfast to celebrate her 1 year adoption anniversary and we were more than happy to help. It looks like Nellie really enjoyed her first Big Bite experience!

Of course breakfast was on us, dogs don't have pockets.... Humans do... so you lot can pay but dogs eat free.

Good morning.

Big Bite will be closed on Saturday 10th February for some very much needed upgrades on our extraction canopies.

Going forward staff and customers will be able to breath much better and probably not smell quite as much like delicious bacon when leaving.

If the lack of bacon scented clothes when leaving is upsetting for some, we may consider branching into bacon perfumes and candles.
