🎄 A Christmas Message from Wael – Owner of The Middle Feast, York 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

Christmas is a time for kindness, reflection, and coming together as a community. For some, it’s a day filled with warmth, family, and food. For others, it can be a difficult and lonely time.

At The Middle Feast, we believe that no one should feel forgotten at Christmas. That’s why on Christmas Day, we’re opening our doors to offer a FREE wrap and a hot drink to takeaway, from 10am to 3pm.

This is for our Blue Light holders, for those who are homeless or seeking refuge, and for anyone who may be struggling and in need of a warm meal. There are no questions, no judgments—just food made with care and a warm drink to bring a little comfort on Christmas Day.

You’ll find us at 13 Lendal, right in the heart of York — just a short walk from the train station.

🌯 Gluten free?
Yep! Many of our dishes can be made gluten-free — including all shawarma wraps. You’ll find allergen info clearly marked on our website menu.

🕌 Is your food halal?
It is! Our food follows traditional halal preparation. Just ask your server for details on specific dishes.

Definitely. Falafel wraps, halloumi burgers, vegan salad boxes and plenty more.

Yes — our cosy restaurant can comfortably seat up to 15 people.

Shawarma isn’t just food it’s tradition, flavour, and serious technique.

We marinate our chicken and lamb shawarma for over 24 hours, then slow-roast it in-house, carving it fresh to order so you get max flavour in every bite.
