We have decided to sell our fish & chip shop. We are selling because we wish to now take life a little easier. This will be a fantastic business for a young couple. Very profitable for an hard working couple. The business has living accommodation,which as three bedrooms large kitchen living room, bathroom with a walk in shower. Outside parking.The shop had a refit three years ago to which a brand new 4 pan range was installed and as been serviced every year. Railway St Fisheries are open as normal during the road works in and around Railway St. You will struggle with parking after 18.00 hrs. We recommend if you do want fish & chips to arrive before they close the road at 18.00

POCKINGTON CHRISTMAS MARKET 14 & 15 DEC 2024
Railway St Fisheriers will be doing a special menu for these two days
Pulled pork baguettes with a choice stuffing,gravy or apple sauce

Pulled Beef baguettes with a choice of onions and gravy
Pulled Pork & beef Wraps With the above choices of stuffing,gravy & apple sauce

Donner Meat wraps/ Baguettes with or without salad with a chioce of sauces
Garlic mayo, Chilli sauce, sweet chilli sauce

Dirty chips melted cheese , cheese sauce peppers chopped gherkins, bacon pieces or no bacon pieces for vegetarians
Old Favourite
Large Hot dog with or without onions

Closing note
I was amazed when i was cooking salt and pepper chips for a customer and her friend said the salt and pepper chicken coujons sound nice . To which i said why not try some .The reply came back but your a chippy. Does it really matter that a chippy is starting to do a different menu apart from fish & chips. If they can give this service why not. Have we got it wrong This Year in 2024 1000 chippys have closed. So if chippys dont try to move with the times they will close. No longer can fish and chip shops just do fish & chips and basic menu. Ask the chippy what as just closed in Market Weighton. No longer could make it viable any longer so have closed. We dont want to be one of those statistics, so thats why we try to do a bigger menu than the average chippy. RAILWAY ST FISHERIES JUST NOT JUST A CHIPPY ITS RAILWAY ST FISHERIES

Customers ask me what potatoes we use and we're we get them from. The variety of potatoes we use is a sagitta and they come from Daisy Hill farm 🚜 Burstwick, Hull. They are very good people to deal with and would recommend to any businesses who are in the catering trade. I went today Wednesday 11th September to collect my potatoes here are some pictures of the machine that takes the potatoes out of the ground and a few of the farm. Hope this gives some idea of what we do to try and get the best potatoes for the chippy
