A little bit of sad news from the No5 kitchen... 💙

After years of loyal service, Larry the Lincat – our trusty prep oven – has officially retired. 🫡

But every retirement means a new beginning, so please say hello to Betty the Buffalo! 👋🔥

Now, yes... we do have seven other ovens, and they're all bigger and more powerful... but shhh... don't tell Betty! 🤫 They're only part-timers, working a few hours each day to help us get breakfast prepped and our Jiffy Vans stocked before they head out on the road.

Betty, however, is the real workhorse.

She's switched on at 6:00am every weekday and doesn't get to clock off until we've finished cooking at around 2:30pm. That's an incredible 51½ hours of hard work every single week!

So there's a very good chance that if you've ever enjoyed a breakfast, lunch, or one of our home or workplace deliveries from No5, Larry played a big part in making it happen.

Thank you for your years of faithful service, Larry. ❤️

As you all know we celebrated our 20th anniversary this weekend. We might release some pictures, but need to check first that they're safe to post.

But for now we just want to say Thank you to all the people who helped make it a great celebration, and to all the people who came to party with us.

As you may know… 👀👀 this year we are celebrating a HUGE milestone — 20 years of No5! 💙🎂

So, this Saturday we will be CLOSED as all of our fabulous staff get together for our big 20th birthday party! 🥳🍾🎉

We’re sorry if this causes any inconvenience, but after 20 years of hard work, early mornings, busy lunches, countless breakfasts, pasties, cakes, van rounds and everything in between… we thought it would be lovely for the whole No5 team to have a well-deserved day off and celebrate together! 💙

So Saturday is officially PARTY TIME! 🎉🥂💃🕺
