Some of our visitors today might have noticed a very special new member of staff making her waitressing debut at The Old Tannery Café! 🚌☕

The first photo was taken in March 2022, when my granddaughter first climbed into the driver’s seat of the bus. Fast forward to March 2026, and she’s now 5 years old and still loves visiting the café whenever she can.

With Mother’s Day this weekend, it feels like the perfect time to celebrate the mums, grandmas, and families that make places like this so special. The café has always been about more than food and refreshments — it’s about family, memories, and watching little moments turn into big milestones.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mums and grandmas out there this weekend. 🌸

One year. What a difference a year makes! 🙌

Looking back at where we started with The Old Tannery Café and seeing where we are today is something really special. From a work-in-progress space with gravel underfoot and big dreams… to a welcoming spot with seating, greenery, and a café bus that people can come and enjoy. ☕🌿

It’s been a year of hard work, early mornings, muddy boots, problem-solving, and a lot of support from our amazing community. Every improvement, every plant, every chair placed has been part of the journey.

We’re incredibly proud of how far it’s come — and even more excited about what’s still to come. 💪

Thank you to everyone who has supported The Old Tannery Café over the past year. Your visits, kind words, and encouragement mean the world.
