Tonight for Pie Night it had to be Fish Pie didn’t it. Northerners and psychopaths there are still the traditional pies available too but we just thought a lot of you would prefer something different with a crisp glass of something white instead…..

See you from 6 ❤️

There’ll always be those that want Roast Beef on a Sunday regardless of the weather. We absolutely admire your commitment to tradition.

But given the weather we are going a little lighter today.

Yes you can still have Sunday Roast from 12pm - 8pm but this week we’re also offering……

Burgers ✅ Crab ✅ Salads ✅ Mussels ✅
Ploughman’s ✅ Ale Battered Hake ✅ BBQ Glazed Brisket ✅

Or if you just want a bowl of chips or fries to go alongside a crisp glass of white or rose wine we have some beautiful offerings by the glass chilled and waiting for you.

See you from midday. Bring suncream ❤️

Simple Simon met a Pie Man going to the fair.

Said Simple Simon to the Pie Man

“What are you doing? Everyone knows it’s pie night at The Whody on a Tuesday”

“Oh crikey, my pies can’t compare to theirs” said the Pie Man and threw them all away.

Simon booked a table for two that night and he and the Pie Man lived happily ever after.

Steak and Ale Pies on this week from 6pm 🥧 ❤️

It’s not just Sunday Roast Dinners that are available today. Pop on in and see what else is on offer, food is available 12pm - 8pm every Sunday.

And back by very popular demand (or just because the kitchen ordering was shambolic) our Dartmoor Lamb Burger with Blue Cheese will be making a guest appearance for today only.

❤️

The most forgotten about day of the year is on Sunday. Don’t leave it too late to book in and take your Dad out for lunch this Sunday.

Call to book on 01822853313 and a quick heads up……if you really want him to have a Happy Fathers Day maybe don’t invite the in-laws 😀❤️

🚨 Saturday 20th June 🚨

We have a private function at the pub on Saturday and will not be open as usual from 6pm.

If you’re within walking distance and plan on coming out for a drink please obviously do, we are your pub first and foremost.

We won’t be able to have any vehicles in the car park I’m afraid from 4pm on Saturday for the evening.

And that means even that sodding Polo 🚨 Hayleigh Bickford 🚨

❤️

👋🏼 We’ve seen a few messages today following the announcement from the Who’d Have Thought It in St Dominick, and just wanted to reassure our customers and friends that we remain very much open and trading as usual here in Milton Combe.

That said, we’re genuinely saddened to hear the news from St Dominick. As fellow publicans, we know first-hand the challenges facing the hospitality industry and our hearts go out to everyone involved.

Village pubs are special places, and it’s always difficult to see one face such a tough decision. We wish the owners, staff and customers all the very best and hope to see the pub reopen and continue serving its community in the future.

Please continue to support your local pubs whenever you can, it really does make a difference. 💛

Don’t ruin your bank holiday sat in a hot car looking for somewhere to park near a beach today. There’ll be hundreds of people that can’t reverse on those little lanes by the coast too. Why stress yourselves out with all that nonsense?

Relax in the sunshine with us instead…..

Open for food and drinks all day from midday.

It’s what Bank Holiday Sundays are for ☀️ ❤️
