It's been an extremely difficult time for Teesside recently but what I've witnessed from the public at the Barrage over the past week gives me hope.
The support and appreciation for Cleveland Police has been absolutely overwhelming and extremely emotional at times.
We've had local officers and also officers from all over the UK down over the past week who have been interacting with customers and also just taking a moment with their colleagues by the River as they go through a very challenging period.
We have many regular customers from the police and we are proud to support them.
My customers are also proud to support them, and through their generosity we are in a position where nobody from the police will need to pay for a coffee for a while.
We value you. We support you. We appreciate you.
