It is with great shock and sadness that we say goodbye to our dear dear friend Duncan 'Dougie' Hird.
One of the OG San Seb customers, Dougie was a regular visitor to the Van and someone who we were fortunate to call a friend.
He made everyone's day brighter when he visited the Barrage and I genuinely looked forward to chatting to him whenever he paid a visit.
His enthusiasm for life was infectious and his passion when talking was admirable.
I loved hearing stories from his time working in the force, to the many music gigs that he frequented. From plans with his family to keeping me updated with the gym news.
His favorite thing when he was down was to feed the dogs the treats on the Van. He loved dogs and just watching him smile when he fed them will always stay with me. Just genuine happiness.
He was part of our project with and and I feel honoured to be able to look back and share that moment with him.
My condolences go to Deb & Josh and the whole Evolve Fitness family. He absolutely loved the gym and everyone who was part of it.
Dougie, it was a pleasure to have known you my friend.
Me, Sam and Rosie will miss you dearly x
