Due to the retirement of one of our amazing team we are on the look out for a detail focused individual to join our existing housekeeping team.

This is an ideal position for an individual who may need to work around school hours. This position does require weekend working too.

Experience whilst preferable is desired but a can do attitude and a willingness to learn is a must.

Pontcysyllte Aqueduct 📍

Six minutes from us by car, in the neighbouring village of Trevor, pontcysyllte aqueduct stands as a must see location on your next visit.

Translating to ‘cysyllte bridge’ in Welsh, the aqueduct officially opened on the 26th of November 1805 by civil engineers Thomas Telford and William Jessop. It was originally designed to carry the Ellesmere canal over the River Dee. After Telford was hired, the plan was changed to create an uninterrupted waterway straight across the Valley.

Today, looking over the beautiful Ty Mâwr country park, the aqueduct stands as a world heritage site, and attracts around 300,000 visitors per year (including many of our wonderful guests!) from all over the world, and around 15,000 boat movements.

Next time you’re visiting, be sure to pay a visit to the beautiful Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, and join us afterwards for a great food, fantastic drinks and a good nights sleep 🤍
