And let’s be honest… nobody’s ever looked at a mountain of roast dinner dishes and thought, “I’m glad I stayed home.” 😅

Roast Dinners at The Falcon Steakhouse

There’s no meal on our menu that gets more time, care, and love than our roast dinners—and judging by the feedback, our guests can taste the difference.

So, what sets our roast apart from the rest? For starters, we don’t use pre-cooked joints. At The Falcon, your roast comes with actual steak—top-quality meat cooked fresh to your preference. It’s a roast dinner, elevated.

Our roast potatoes are crisped in beef tallow infused with garlic, thyme, and rosemary—rich, golden, and bursting with flavour. And the gravy? It’s based on our house beef dripping sauce, the same one we serve with our steaks. We might be biased, but it could just be the best gravy in the world.

For those who want it all, we’ve created The Sunday Best—a sharing feast for two. You’ll get all three meats: tender sirloin, juicy lamb rump, and a French-trimmed chicken breast wrapped in bacon. It comes loaded with all the trimmings—cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets, heaps of seasonal veg, giant Yorkshire puddings, and unlimited gravy. To finish, choose any two homemade desserts from our pudding list.

You can also upgrade the Sirloin to succulent Ribeye or tender Fillet!

Sure, there are cheaper roasts out there—but we’re confident there aren’t many better. We’ve got tables available this Sunday, and we’d love to show you what all the fuss is about.

One thing we’ve noticed over the years…

The people who shout the loudest about “supporting local” aren’t always the ones you see through the door.

The people who genuinely keep independent businesses alive rarely make a fuss about it. They just quietly choose the local butcher, the local café, the local pub, the local restaurant… because they know that every visit makes a difference.

We’ve been lucky enough to be part of Wotton for the last 15 years, and we’re genuinely grateful that so many of you have chosen us for first dates, birthdays, anniversaries, Sunday lunches, celebrations… and sometimes just because you couldn’t be bothered to cook!

We never take that for granted.

So here’s a question…

🌾 GLUTEN FREE AT THE FALCON STEAKHOUSE 🌾

One thing we don’t shout about enough is just how gluten-free friendly The Falcon Steakhouse has been for many years.

In fact, there’s a good chance many of our guests have enjoyed an almost entirely gluten-free dining experience without ever realising it.

Our entire steak menu is gluten free, along with all 18 of our sides and every one of our homemade steak sauces.

This isn’t something we’ve recently introduced either. We’ve been doing things this way for years because we wanted guests with dietary requirements to have just as much choice as everyone else.

Everything we breadcrumb is coated using gluten-free flour and gluten-free breadcrumbs. Our batters are gluten free, and we don’t fry products containing gluten in our fryers.

Fancy one of our famous Falcon burgers or our legendary Dipster steak sandwich? No problem. We have an excellent gluten-free bun available, meaning you don’t have to miss out on some of our most popular dishes.

Some of our customer favourites are also gluten free:

🧅 Our incredible Onion Rings
🐔 Our homemade Chicken burger

And then there’s Sunday…

Unlike many places where a gluten-free roast means missing half the plate, our Sunday roast is available as a complete experience. No compromises. No missing items.

Our pigs in blankets are gluten free as standard. Our cauliflower cheese is gluten free as standard. We even make a proper gluten-free Yorkshire pudding so you can enjoy the roast exactly as it was intended. 🍽️

And if you’ve still got room afterwards, we’ve got gluten-free desserts waiting for you too. 🍰

Whilst we offer a huge range of gluten-free options, we do handle all allergens in our kitchen. We have robust procedures in place and take allergies extremely seriously, but guests with allergies or dietary requirements should always make our team aware when ordering so we can advise accordingly and take the appropriate precautions.

We’re incredibly proud to have maintained a 5⭐ food hygiene rating through every inspection for the past 15 years, and we’re passionate about making sure everybody can enjoy a fantastic meal out.

So if you’ve been avoiding restaurants because you’re worried about finding suitable options, you might be surprised by just how much of our menu is already available to you.
