A year ago, we’d have been shaking cocktails behind someone else’s bar. On Friday, we welcomed eight food bloggers and critics into our own venue.
That sentence still feels a little surreal.
This wasn’t about being perfect. It was about opening our doors, sharing what we’re building and inviting people to experience The Little Nook in its earliest days. It’s exciting… and if we’re honest, slightly terrifying too.
We served four courses, each showcasing a different side of what we do, paired with drinks throughout the evening. From our Cali-style smash burger to our loaded hash browns with bacon and Parmesan, every dish was chosen because it represents where we want this little café and bar to go. Oh and I believe the Marmalade Margarita was a hugggeee hit!!
One of our favourite parts of the night? Handing the cameras over to two brilliant students from Downend School, who spent the week with us on work experience. They absolutely threw themselves into creating content, capturing moments we’d probably never have thought to film ourselves, and we couldn’t be prouder of what they produced.
To our eight VIP guests: thank you for taking a chance on a brand-new independent business. Your time, your feedback and your support genuinely mean the world to us. .food.dude and everyone else
This is only the beginning.
Here’s to taking risks, saying yes before you feel ready and documenting the chaos as it happens. ❤️
