Autumn/winter menu testing at The Nook… which obviously means plenty of messing around, questionable behaviour and absolute chaos behind the scenes 😂🍂

We’ve now been open for 6 months!!! So changing our menu for the first time feels like a pretty big milestone!

We’re busy testing new dishes, tweaking all the little details and trying very hard to be sensible and professional… but we run on chaos, cocktails and the firm belief that you’ve got to have fun every day. This is genuinely just who we are as people 😂

The new menu is already looking—and tasting—SO good. We can’t wait to share it with you very soon! 👀🍽️🍸

🎈 A little Nook birthday transformation… 🎂✨

This time it was extra special because we were dressing The Little Nook for my daughter’s 6th birthday! 🥹💕

And somehow, in just 5½ months of being open, this is already the third children’s party we’ve hosted here… so maybe we’re becoming a bit of a party place 👀🎉

Kids’ parties at The Nook start from £13 per child, including a light buffet and the best bit is that you can really make the space your own.

🎈 Plenty of room for decorations, games & general birthday chaos
👨‍👩‍👧 Loads of space for the grown-ups to stay and socialise
🍸 A fully stocked bar… because kids’ parties are for parents too 😂
🍔 Smash burgers & evening food can be available
🚗 Plenty of FREE parking
✨ And a relaxed space where you can pretty much do your own thing

🚨SHOULD WE DO DUPLO DAY?! 🚨

Because apparently running a café and bar wasn’t keeping us busy enough… now Rebecca’s decided Tuesdays should involve an unreasonable amount of Duplo. 😂🧱

The idea 👇

🧱 LOADS of Duplo
🤸 Soft matting & a proper little play area
👶 Designed for toddlers & little ones
☕ Coffee, breakfast & lunch for the grown-ups
👵 Mums, dads, grandparents, carers… everyone welcome
💛 A relaxed Tuesday where they can build, play and cause tiny amounts of Duplo-based chaos while you actually get to drink a coffee.

But before Rebecca starts ordering enough Duplo to reconstruct the entire A38…

We held our first cocktail club night. We made an espresso martini and shared a gorgeous charcuterie board. Attendees get 20% drinks for the remainder of the evening and of course our kitchen is open for smashed burgers too. Loved every minute of it! Book via our website for the next one, first Friday of each month.

🍸 COCKTAIL CLUB 🍸

First Friday of every month at The Little Nook.

We’ll teach you how to make a genuinely bloody good cocktails with the proper techniques, the little tricks, what NOT to do and how to make a great alcohol-free version too.

Then you get to drink it. Obviously.

Your ticket also includes charcuterie to share, music, Friday-night vibes and 20% off drinks for the rest of the evening.

Come for the cocktails. Leave with an entirely unjustified level of confidence behind a home bar.

Your friends don’t need to know you were trained. 🍸
